CLOTHING STORE

The People's Center is a free clothing store established in 1987 to assist the homeless and the working poor. It is located at 2 Chestnut Street (corner of State & Chestnut Streets) Springfield, and is open Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Volunteers are needed to sort clothing donated by the public and to help clients with their choices.

Drivers are also needed to pick up donated clothing and transport to the People's Center.  A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required.

All volunteers are trained by Red Cross personnel and/or appointed leaders.
