At the American Red Cross Pioneer Valley Chapter, we count on certified instructors to further our mission of bringing lifesaving, safety, and caregiver education to a variety of individuals and groups in our member communities.

Lay Rescuer CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor Course

Includes Fundamentals of Instructor Training (FIT)

September Series Class Dates:  Monday, 9/8--5:30pm to 9:30pm; Sat. 9/27--9am to 5pm; and Sat. 10/4--9am to 5pm. (Note:  attendance at all classes is mandatory). All classes held at the Pioneer Valley Chapter, 506 Cottage St., Springfield.

*Minimum age is 16 years old.  Students must have current certification (within past 12 months) in first aid, CPR for all ages and AED.  Students must attend all classes to receive certification and must be able to pass a pre-course test, basic skills evaluation, and a written exam. If you are not current in basic level CPR and First Aid, we do have classes available at the chapter.

CPR for The Professional Rescuer Crossover Instructor Course

All classes held at the Pioneer Valley Chapter, 506 Cottage St., Springfield.

*Students must have current base level certification in CPR and AED for Professional Rescuer issued within past 12 months.  Must also be a currently authorized Lay Rescuer in First Aid, CPR and AED Instruction.  Students must attend all classes to receive certification and must be able to pass a pre-course test, basic skills evaluation, and a written exam.

Babysitter's Training Instructor Crossover Course

All classes held at the Pioneer Valley Chapter, 506 Cottage St., Springfield.

*Students must have current Lay Rescuer First Aid, CPR and AED OR, current Lifeguard Training Instructor Certificate.  Students must attend all classes to receive certification and must be able to pass a pre-course test, basic skills evaluation, and a written exam.
